Text Box: For three weeks during the month of January, our staff will be evaluating your child’s progress and sending home a summary at the end of February.

No formal curriculum will be planned during evaluation weeks.

Text Box: Special Thanks to all the children who earned money for Globe Santa. And thanks to you for giving your child the opportunity to earn money to make other children’s holidays a little happier!
At last count, they earned $ 37.46.

Text Box: AFTERNOON CLASSES/ENROLLMENT
We would love to have an afternoon program for both PreK and Nursery classes.  We need a minimum of 5 students to start a class.  If you know families who may be interested, please let them know.

Also note, our Nursery program includes children who are 2.9 years of age (as of August 31st 2009). We are happy to include children who are 2.9 with the understanding that they will need 2 years of Nursery school before being age eligible for our PreK program.

As always, thank you for your kind words about our school that has sent many of your friends for a visit to our classroom!

Text Box: CANDY CANE LANE
We were so happy to see everyone who was able to come!  We had an AMAZING turn out…our biggest yet!  We are sorry if some of you had a long wait, but hope you had fun in the Big Hall with friends and creating crafts while you waited to see Santa!

He told us he saw all your names on the good list!  We hope all your holiday wishes come true!

Text Box: LOST and FOUND
Please check to see if you are missing a beautiful diamond cross necklace.  We will keep it safe until we find the owner.

Text Box: COOKIE SWAP (Nursery Class)
Thank you for taking the time, out of a busy time of year, to bake and to join us for our Cookie Swap!

The cookies were delicious and we couldn’t have asked for better company to share them with!

Text Box: LUNCH BUNCH
If your child attends Lunch Bunch, please LABEL everything in his/her lunchbox…sandwich containers, yogurt, juice boxes, water bottles, spoons, ice packs, etc.  The kids open their lunchboxes and take things out quickly, often before the teachers can see what belongs to each person.  We want to make sure that each child is eating and drinking what is sent for them.  We don’t want it to be time consuming, so simply writing your child’s name with a permanent marker works well.  Thanks so much for your help!

Text Box: WINTER WEATHER
Brrrr, winter weather is here!  Please send your
child to school with appropriate (labeled) outerwear that is warm enough for outside play! The teachers may be assisting up to 12 excited children who are eager to get outside, so please select items which your child can easily and independently manage.

Text Box: WEATHER/SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS
If winter storms cause school cancellations, please listen to local radio stations or watch the news.  We follow the Medfield Public Schools and cancel school only when the entire school system closes.
If the Medfield Public Schools have a delay or cancels Nursery or Kindergarten classes,
we are still open the same hours.

         Kid Quotes…

Text Box: A nursery girl just came back from a trip to Mexico.  A teacher asked, “How was Mexico?”  A friend overheard the question, and said, “I’m going to Mexico one day.”  The girl who just came back, said, “You need to have gum.” (Ouch…the pressure in the ears!)

A girl walked over to a table that was set up with big paper and water colors and exclaimed, “Ooooh!  I love water painting!”
