WHO’S WHO AT MCC PLEASANT STREET

Sharon Maillet

I joined MCC’s “family” after receiving a degree in education from Framingham State College in 1993 and I have happily been here ever since.  I returned to FSC a few years later to earn a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  It was back to school again in 2001 to complete a Director’s course at Dean College.  Now it’s just school at MCC, my favorite school of all!

After eleven years as a PreK and Nursery teacher, I sadly left the classroom, but excitedly moved into the office as Director!  I love being Director and working in the office where I get to hear the happy noise of the classroom and get to hear and see the laughter, conversations, and smiles of the kids as they walk by.  I visit the classroom every chance I get and love the times I get to substitute!  Thank you for sharing your children with us- they make each day unique and fill the school year with cherished moments!

When I’m not at “home” at MCC, I’m at home in Milford where I cherish every moment with my own “little one!”  Now, because of Josh (who is 5 and growing too fast), the fun follows me home and I get to keep singing, dancing, playing, creating art, reading…..

I am going into my 17h year at Medfield Children’s Center.  I teach both Nursery and PreK classes and love it!

I graduated from Regis College with a degree in Sociology. I have also taken several classes in Early Childhood at Dean College to become certified to teach pre-school.

My husband, Bob, and I live in Norfolk.  We have 2 sons, Bobby and Paul.  I enjoy reading, skiing and traveling.

I am looking forward to another great year of teaching at Medfield Children’s Center.

I am thrilled to be entering my ninth year at MCC teaching PreK.  I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in psychology and education.  I taught preschool at The Chestnut School in Newton for eight years prior to beginning a family.  My husband, Eric, and I have four children:  Michael, Cate, Lily, and Maggie.  It has been such a pleasure for me to work at MCC with children that are so eager to learn, and to have the support of so many wonderful families.

In September, I will begin my 7th year at MCC-Pleasant Street.  To work with children who are three, four and five years of age makes each day an amazing adventure!  Their inquisitive, creative little minds and wonderful sense of humor never  ceases to amaze me.  They absolutely make my day!  When I leave MCC each afternoon, I head home to my four children, Kevin, James, Margaret, and Quinn (three of them are MCC alumnae).  I am a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston and the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain.  When I am not working, I love to spend time with our children, read a good boo and travel with my husband to places where I’ve never been.
